IG Group’s exec director Jon Noble assumes new role


Jon Noble, previously Chief Information Officer, is appointed as Chief Operating Officer of IG with immediate effect.

The Board of online trading major IG Group Holdings plc (LON:IGG) today announces a change to the role, function and responsibilities of Jon Noble, an Executive Director of the company.

Jon Noble, previously Chief Information Officer, is appointed as Chief Operating Officer of the Company with immediate effect, with responsibility for Trading and Operations, and Business Change. He will continue to serve as an Executive Director in his new role. The Group’s existing Chief Technology Officer will take on responsibility for Information Technology, and will join the Executive Committee.

Jon Noble first joined IG in 2000 as a trainee dealer rising to Dealing Director in 2007. In 2010, he became Dealing and Operations Director and in 2012 was appointed Chief Information Officer. In 2015, Jon Noble was appointed as head of IG’s Delivery Pillar. He was appointed to the Board as Chief Information Officer on June 1, 2018.

The change of roles for Mr Noble is a part of an enterprise wide organisational review undertaken by June Felix, IG’s Chief Executive Officer, as she seeks to support the delivery of IG’s strategy which was announced to the market on May 22, 2019. June Felix and is making a number of changes to the organisation structure and the Group’s Executive Committee.

Bridget Messer, Chief Commercial Officer, and Paul Mainwaring, Chief Financial Officer, will continue to serve as Executive Directors in their current roles.
